Robert E. Pollock, 82, Huntington, IN passed away at 9:10 a.m. on July 20, 2013 at his home. .
Mr. Pollock was born March 24, 1931 in Huntington to Walter E. and Ruth Barton Pollock. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Pollock married Patricia Jean Kimmel on April 24, 1954 in Huntington. His wife preceded him in death on August 27, 2009.
Mr. Pollock graduated from Huntington High School. He served in the U. S. Army in Austria during the Korean War in the photography unit. Mr. Pollock retired in 1996 from Central Elementary School as a crossing guard and custodian for over 40 years.
Surviving is one son, Michael (Noreen) Pollock, Fishers, IN; five daughters, Cynthia Klepper, Huntington, Lori (Ernst) Becker, Weiterstadt, Germany, Susan (Lloyd) Dobson, Flower Mound, Texas, Sandra (Eric) Clark, Anderson, IN, and Teresa (Andy) Minton, Indianapolis, IN; 11 grandchildren, Jessica Thornton, Katie Klepper, Emily Klepper, Christopher Clark, Colin Clark, Ashley Minton, Hannah Minton, Katie Minton, Benjamin Minton, Holden Pollock and Kolja Becker and 8 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a brother, James Pollock, one grandson, Erik Becker, son-in-law, Dennis Klepper; and one great grandchild, Elijah James Klepper.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Huntington Catholic School Scholarship Fund in memory of Robert Pollock and Dennis Klepper. The memorials can be made in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
