Robert E. Messer, age 91, of Birmingham, passed away on June 18, 2020. He retired from Birmingham Police Department after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #480 of Leeds and a member of the Zamora Temple. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Messer; parents, Price and Eva Messer; sisters, Jean Wann and Martha Herring; brother, Jack Messer. He is survived by his children, Carla Vickery and Ronald Messer; grandchildren, Jennifer Dickinson and Ryan Messer; great grandchildren, Dawson Findley, Andrew Dickinson, Arianna Hutchings and Abigail Messer.
