Robert E. Harmon, 85, of Anderson, passed away on December 27, 2017 at the Providence-Anderson Nursing Home. He was born on February 12, 1932 in Elwood and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Bob graduated from Anderson High School. He then served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Delco Remy and retired after 38 years of service. He was a member of the VFW Post 266, the American Legion, and UAW 662.
Bob was an avid golfer, liked to go boating, but the highlight of his day was taking Poly Esther for her 4pm walk.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Judy (Abel) Harmon, step-children, Greg (Jennifer) Rutlidge of Perry, GA, and Katherine Kemp of Westfield, IN; several grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ruth Harmon; daughter, Krista Harmon; son, Jay Harmon; and brothers, Jim Harmon and Bill Harmon.
