Robert Gereg, 89, of New Milford, died peacefully on October 31, 2022, after a brief illness.
He was born in Danbury on November 5, 1932, to Albert and Helen (Zlotkosky) Gereg
He was an amazing musician who loved entertaining and bringing smiles to the faces of people. He played at senior centers, nursing homes, weddings, and 1st night Danbury. He started his own band called the “Bob Gereg” band and also played with the Victor Zembruski band at the Great Danbury Fair.
He was a patient teacher all his life and helped many students become accomplished piano and accordion musicians. Students loved him.
He loved gardening and would jump at the opportunity to pass on his knowledge. He loved all mechanical things, especially cars.
He is survived by his companion Helena Michael sister Nancy Gereg; niece Brenda Gereg Aurelia; nephew Allen Gereg Jr; great nephews and cousins.
