Robert E. Boig of Plymouth formerly of Norwell, died peacefully on Friday January 7th at B.I.D. Hospital Plymouth. He was the beloved husband of Ruth A. (Holmes) Boig. Born in Quincy, Massachusetts on June 14, 1946, son of the late Fletcher and Margret (Turner) Boig. He was educated in Norwell and a graduate of Norwell High School. He went on to graduate from Northeastern University with his Master’s Degree. He was a Mechanical Engineer working for the Polaroid Company for about 33 and later for Raytheon. Bob was an car enthusiast and spent countless hours restoring cars from the time he was a teen. He was a four time national race car champion in Sports Club of America. He was known to be the go to guy if you needed to get something done and was a member of the Pool Committee, the Landscape Committee, and the Design Review Committee Great Island in Pine Hills in Plymouth. Besides his loving wife Ruth he is survived by his sons, Michael Boig and his wife Brittany of Foxboro, Sean Emerson of Mansfield, and his daughter Kimberly Boig of survived by his grandchildren Landon and Robert Boig and Ethan and Hayden Emerson.
