Robert Willis Drown, Sr., age 77, of Marianna passed away in his home on Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Mr. Drown attended Resurrection Life Christian Fellowship International and was an ordained minister with the Battle Cry Ministries International allowing him to minister in Israel and Mexico, he was a volunteer with Covenant Hospice in Marianna, served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a aircraft mechanic in the New Hampshire Air National Guard before his retirement. Mr. Drown enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and hunting at Camp Seclusion. His family was a great source of love and companionship. He was preceded in death by his wife, Chellie E. Drown, his son David W. Drown, his parents Rex M. Drown and Emily Willis Drown, his sister Doris Waddell and brother Mel Drown. Survivors include his son, Robert Willis Drown, Jr. and wife Linda of Marianna, Six daughters; Rev. Gloria J. Davis of Tulsa, Ok, Donna M. Rygiel and husband Steven of Rochester, N.H., Bridgett O. Wallace-Cox and husband Alan, of Ocean Springs, Ms. , Debra A. Spurlock and husband Eddie of Marianna, Lisa S. Neff of Marianna, and Tina M. Drown of Ohio, Sister; Ruth Sullivan of Newburyport, Ma. In-laws Edwin and Margaret O’Neal of Marianna, Joyce and Sandy Shoupe of Deatsville, Al, George and Linda O’Neal of Bryant, Ar, and Mary Drown of Newburyport, Ma. 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and dear friend Donna Ullery.
