Robert D. “Bob” Lyman, the son of Marlyn “Speed” and Margaret (Smith) Lyman, was born April 30, 1936 in Iowa City, Iowa. He grew up in Kellogg, Iowa and was a graduate of Kellogg High School.  

Bob served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. When he returned home, he went to work as a self-employed electrician and worked for the Newton Fire Department, later he worked for Lockman Electric.  Meinser Electric for their Florida Company hired Bob, in 1980 he moved to West Palm Beach, Florida.  He was a member of the Newton Lodge No. 59 A.F. & A.M., Za-Ga-Zig Shrine in Altoona, Iowa, and the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Club of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.  Those left to honor his memory are his son, Robert E. “Bob” Lyman of Boca Raton, Florida; two grandchildren; his two brothers, Jim Lyman of Del Riom, Texas and joe Lyman of Newton; two sisters, Joan Dingeman of Oak Harbor, Washington and Dawn Langhan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
