NEW HARTFORD – Robert D. Anderson Robert D. Anderson of New Hartford, Connecticut, passed away December 25, 2014. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Peters) Anderson for 42 years. Born May 1, 1936 in New Britain; the son of Oscar Anderson, originally from Halland, Sweden and Alma (Nelson) Anderson, originally from Hauto, Pennsylvania. He actively served in the Army from 1959 to 1961 as part of the Signal Corp attached to the 82nd Airborne and earned a Marksman Badge w/Carbine Bar. He served in the Army Reserves until 1965 then was honorably discharged. He was a New Britain resident until he moved to New Hartford in 1980 and was employed at Stanley Magic Door/Stanley Access Technology in Farmington where he worked for 45 years. Surviving him are two sons; Kerry and daughter-in-law Missy (Chance) Anderson of West Hartford, Connecticut and Craig Anderson of New Hartford, Connecticut; two grandchildren, Ethan and Lana Anderson of West Hartford, Connecticut; a sister, Virginia Fredrickson of Naples, Florida; and several nieces, nephews and a great niece. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Earl Anderson and Roger Anderson; and a sister, Mildred Suess Feld.
