Robert C. Meints went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 23, 2021. He was born February 10, 1930 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late John J. and Maude (Mosselman VanSparrentak) Meints.

Bob was a graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School and Western Michigan University, where he earned a BS degree in Economics. Bob was drafted into the Army during the Korean War and served as a supply sergeant for the 193rd Heavy Tank Battalion. He was an accountant all his life and retired from General Motors in January of 1989, where he worked as a supervisor in accounting. Bob was a past member of Faith Reformed Church, where he served as a Deacon, Elder, and in various other capacities. In recent years, he was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends and spending time at their cottage in Barry County. He also enjoyed his many fishing trips to Canada with his sons and doing taxidermy work on the fish he caught.

Bob is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Foley) Meints; two sons, Gregory (Jennifer) of Chicago and Bradley (Aimee) of Mattawan; four grandchildren, Andrew and Evan Meints, Mallory (Ethan) Hohn, and Katie Meints; sister-in-law, Sue Meints; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Peter in 1927, Donald in 2002, and John in 2004.
