Robert Clarence Smith, 75, died August 2, 2012, with his family by his side in rural Adams County, Colorado.
Bob was born May 15, 1937, in Brighton to Clarence E. and Leona E. (Matthes) Smith. He went to Box Elder country school until the eighth grade and graduated from Brighton High School in May of 1954. He later graduated in 1976 from Front Range Community College of Denver with an Associate Degree in Small Engine Mechanics.
Bob served in the Colorado Air National Guard from 1958 until 1984. He served in activation for the Berlin Crisis and later in Viet Nam. He also served at Buckley Air Force Base from 1958 until 1981.
