Robert C. Carson, 93, of Salisbury Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Dolores B. (Coles) Carson. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late David and Grace (Smock) Carson. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Robert attended Liberty High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mining Engineering from Lehigh University. After graduating, Robert began working for G. Edwin Pidock Engineering Firm and was involved in the construction of the Straights of Makinac Bridge in northern Michigan which remains the longest suspension bridge with two towers between Anchorages in the Western Hemisphere. Robert was then employed by the Bethlehem Steel as a Real Estate Conveyancer where he later retried. He was the past President of the Salisbury Youth Association, where he coached baseball and basketball. He also served on the Salisbury Township Recreation Commission. Robert enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Keith E. Carson and his wife, Kathy, of Salisbury Township; daughter, Ann C. Griffin and her partner Robert Prislupsky of Oviedo, Fla.; brother Glenn Carson of Bellevue, NE and his loving grandchildren Daniel, Adam, Ethan, Ian and Mandy. He was preceded in death by his brother David Carson, Jr.
