Robert P. “Bobby” Maples, 25 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Monday, May 29, 2017 in rural Cherry County, Nebraska. He was born on October 18, 1991 in Beatrice to George and Lori (Pearson) Maples, Jr. Bobby graduated from Wymore High School in 2010 and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Chadron State College. He was currently working as an Instructional Design Assistant at Southeast Community College in Beatrice. Bobby was a past volunteer on the Blue Springs Fire Department. He enjoyed playing golf, music, billiards, taking his nephew fishing, going to the gym and making his friends laugh.
Bobby is survived by his mother, Lori of Wymore; brother, Zach Moyer and significant other Jess Stierwalt of Beatrice; grandmothers, Nora Pearson of Plymouth, Barbara Maples of Colleyville, Texas; aunt, Kelli Cheek of North Richland Hills, Texas; nephews, Jayten and Kayson Moyer; nieces, Brooklyn and Arya Moyer; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; and grandfathers, George K. Maples, Sr. and Roger D. Pearson.
