Robert (Bob) Parrish, 84, passed away in Denver, CO on June 10, 2017. Born on December 10, 1932 in Des Moines, IA, Bob was the son of Robert and Irene (Gannon) Parrish. Bob was raised in Victor, IA and graduated from St. John’s High School. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955 at bases in Colorado and San Francisco, and separated from the Air Force as a staff sergeant. He attended St. Ambrose College in Davenport, IA and graduated from the University of Denver in 1957. Bob worked as a loan officer at Merchants National Bank in Cedar Rapids, IA and Boulevard National Bank in Denver and as a stock broker at DJ Leonard in Denver. Bob cofounded Neidiger, Tucker, Bruner, Inc. in 1977, where he served as a broker, treasurer, senior vice-president, and managing director. Bob was a member of the American Legion and Knights of Columbus and served as national treasurer of Catholic Alumni Clubs. Bob enjoyed watching sports, going to Bronco games, dining out with friends and family and following the stock market. Survivors include nieces Lisa Mazurek of St. Michael, MN; Susan (Mark) Scobell of Grand Rapids, MI; Lynne Caldwell of St. Michael, MN; and nephew Michael (Mary) Parrish of Cedar Rapids, IA. Also surviving are great nieces and nephew: Sophia, Jack, and Natalie Mazurek; Anne, Laura, and Rebecca Scobell; Megan Caldwell; and Kathleen and Grace Parrish and special friends Jack Moore, Cece Mascarenas-Moore, Mary Lou Byrne and Bob Thys. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Irene Parrish; special uncle and aunt Albert and Theresa Dusterhoff; brother and sister-in-law Whitney and Eve Parrish, and a nephew-in-law, David Caldwell. Bob was a devoted uncle and will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
