Robert (Bob) Parr, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 15th, 2016 in Terre Haute, IN. He was born on September 7th, 1929 in Terre Haute, IN to Jacob and Thelma Peak Parr.
Always industrious, Bob approached Indiana State College at the age of fourteen, pre-child labor laws, to sell popcorn at the football and basketball games working from a small concession trailer built by his father, Jacob. The college gave him this opportunity and in 1946 Parr Concessions was officially founded. Bob went on to graduate from Wiley High School and Indiana State College in 1951 with a degree in Pre-Med. He was a charter member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
Following college, he married the love of his life, Betty Rainbolt, in Terre Haute. They were happily married for 58 years prior to Betty’s passing in 2009.
Bob joined the Air Force in 1951 and served in Korea for four years.
