Robert “Bob” LeRoy Nyland
Ogden – Robert “Bob” LeRoy Nyland passed away on April 12, 2016. He was born November 10, 1926 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado the son of Andrew E. Anna Abby Johnson Nyland. He married Rita May Young in San Leandro California on June 27, 1953. Their marriage was solemnized in the Oakland Temple on March 26, 1966. Their marriage was blessed with three sons, Robert Dayton Nyland, Steven Paul Nyland, Thomas Mathew Nyland. They were married 59 years prior to Rita’s death on Feb. 1, 2013.
Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and we are proud that he was one of the “Greatest Generation that ever Lived.” Bob later worked at Hill Air Force Base for many years.
Bob was a high priest and faithful member of the Monroe Branch of the LDS Church. He has served for many years in various church callings.
Bob is survived by two sons, Robert and Thomas. He has 13 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. He has now gone to be with his wife, Rita; son, Steven; father and mother; sisters, Dixie Lou Nyland, Louise Berry; brothers, Andrew Nyland, Jack L. Nyland and James Tramel.
