Robert “Bob” Lee Ford went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by loving family and friends. Bob was born August 5, 1949 to Carl H. Ford and Elsie June (Slate) Ford in Bakersfield, California. He was 68 years old. Bob was a member of Waltreak Methodist Church in Waltreak, Arkansas but had been a long time member of Pilot Prairie Church in Waldron, Arkansas previously. He was a Godly man and lived by his faith daily.

Bob attended Mansfield Public Schools as a young man. He played football and was very active in everything he could be involved in. He was a cook at “Tiger Restaurant” and his mom was a waitress. He became quite known for his cooking abilities. He later became employed in the offshore oil industry in Indonesia. He worked for AmeriGas for 22 years. In retirement, he worked for Eastside Superette to keep busy. With all his spare time, Bob was very involved with Waldron Rural Fire Dept, serving as Chief for many years, and Scott Co. Fair Board, anything to help the kids. Bob was a big ol’ slice of goofiness, fun and laughter. He loved his family and friends with every being in him. If he wasn’t giving you a hard time, then you knew where you stood with him. Bob was a genuinely nice guy with a huge heart and was loved by all.

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Elsie Allen of Mansfield, Arkansas, one sister, Mary Barnes of Newport News, Virginia, his children: Robert Lee Ford Jr, and wife Maria of Virginia, Charlotte Ford, Saritta Ford both of Louisiana, James Morgan of Waldron, Arkansas and Leona Morgan of Missouri. Bob is also survived by one aunt, Linda Brown of Mansfield, Arkansas and one uncle Colin Slate of Booneville, Arkansas as well as 10 grandchildren. Bob will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including a loving companion and extended family of Patsy (Millard) Biggerstaff, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones dear to his heart.

Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Billie Brown Ford, father, Carl Ford and his grandparents.

Bob’s life celebration will be 2:00 p.m.
