Robert L. “Bob” Schultz, 88, of Newton died on Friday, September 1, 2017, at Skiff Medical Center.
Bob, the son of Alfred F. and Mary M. (Teller) Schultz, was born on June 28, 1929 in Newton. He grew up in Newton and served his country in the U.S. Air Force, which began his life long love of aviation. Bob was united in marriage with Vivian Browning on June 30, 1956 in Newton.
Those left to honor Bob’s memory are his wife, Vivian Schultz of Newton; children, Kelvin (Julie) Schultz of Newton, Eric Schultz (Fiance, Josephine Akofe) of Tracy, California, and Aaron (Laura) Schultz of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren, Josh (Donna) Schultz, Amanda Schultz, Samuel Schultz, Sydney Schultz, Alexandra Schultz, and Tyler Schultz; his eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Kenneth (Fran) Schultz of Newton, Dorothy Schultz of Des Moines, and Margaret (Ed) Miller of Overland Park, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond Schultz.
