Robert “Bob” James Hill, 89

Robert “Bob” James Hill, 89, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away December 25, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society Silver Wood Village of Silverton.

Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Bob was joined in marriage to Leona Davis on August 17, 1957 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.  Bob and Leona moved to the Silver Valley in 1976 from Coeur d’ Alene.

Bob was a miner and had worked at the Sunshine Mine (also Mine rescue), the Bunker Hill Mining Company, the Lucky Friday and lastly the Galena mine of which he then retired.

Bob was a member of the Osburn V.F.W. #1675.  He loved and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Bob is survived by his wife Leona Hill of Silverton; three sons Rob and his wife Tami Hill of Phoenix, Arizona; Tim Hill of Kellogg, Idaho and Steven Hill of Spokane, Washington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother David Basslington of Tacoma, Washington; one step-sister Evelyn Wisner of Enaville; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one son Kenny Hill, one daughter Janet Hill and three brothers.
