Bob Bolton was called Home to Heaven on Saturday, January 25, 2020 after a battle with cancer. He was 93 years old. Bob was born in Columbus, KS to Ora Corbett Bolton and Leona Mae Beecham Bolton. The family moved to New Mexico when he was eight and he has lived here since. He was fortunate to find love twice and spent 26 1/2 years with Roberta “Ro” Warrick Bolton and 39 years with Meribelle “Dusty” Bolton.
Bob was a proud WWII Veteran having served in the US Navy. After serving in the Navy he moved to Gallup, NM where he worked with Cresto Transfer driving trucks and equipment to and from TV and movie locations and a bus from Gallup and Ganado, AZ. He also ran the trading post at Tohatchi, NM and drove a truck for A&J Produce in Gallup before becoming a traveling salesman on the Navajo Indian Reservation. He represented several companies before settling with Henry Hillson, Inc. in Albuquerque and Bruchman and Sons in Winslow, AZ. When Mr. Bruchman retired, Bob took over the southwest distributorship of Pendleton Robes and Shawls and he and Dusty ran Bolton, Inc., in Los Lunas. NM and he retired after over 40 years with the company.
He was also devoted Christian and served as an elder at Gallup Christian Church and First Christian Church in Albuquerque. He was a member of Hoffmantown Church for 15 years. He was also s strong supporter of Conservative Republican causes. He was a member of Rotary in Los Lunas.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers from Hospice of New Mexico and Right At Home for the wonderful care they gave Bob during his last days.
