Robert (Bob) Eugene Sturm, 69 years old, of Manassas, VA, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 17, after a heroic battle with a long illness. Not only was he deeply loved by his family, but his strong character and impeccable sense of integrity influenced the many young people who were his students at the Northern Virginia Dance Academy. Bob was the Executive Director and a choreographer of the Asaph Dance Ensemble, and his talent inspired thousands of people with its endless supply of humor, poignancy, and creativity. Bob served his country as a civil servant for thirty-three years on Capitol Hill, and he was the Chief Clerk at the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry. His most recent years were also spent working at American Target Advertising. Bob is survived by his wife, Robin, his children Jeremy of Leesburg, Rebekah of Santa Monica, CA, and Samantha of New York City. He is also survived by his sister Connie (Verle) Meister and his brother Ron (Joy) Sturm.
