Robert "Bob" "Bubba" Louis Donaldson

Robert “Bob or “Bubba” Louis Donaldson was born at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland on November 27, 1941. He passed away at the Dove House in Westminster, Maryland on February 29, 2020, at 78 years old. 

Bob was the son of William Howard Donaldson, Jr., and Frances Loretta De Vaux, who both preceded him in death. He was the second of five siblings, William (Loretta) Donaldson, III, and Cecelia Garland whom both preceded him in death, and Joseph (Mary) Donaldson and Dolores  (William) Johnson are his remaining living siblings. 

Bob met his wife of 54 years, Lois Jean Schurman, while in high school in January 1960. They were married June 19, 1965. Bob and his wife Lois have two daughters, Jean Flutka and Joanna Donaldson; son-in-law James Flutka, Jr; and two grandsons Robert Flutka and Bryan Flutka.

After marrying in 1965, Bob and Lois resided in a small apartment for a short period of time. They purchased a home in Baltimore Highlands in 1966 where they lived until 2013 when they moved to Eldersburg, Maryland.

Bob could fix just about anything, but he is best known in the motor coach industry. He fixed busses and drove for motor coach companies for over 45 years. Many of the people within the motor coach community also reached out to him to consult when they had issues with their busses. He had many friends in the motor coach community. Bob retired in 2013. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.  He enjoyed spending vacations at the lake and taking his grandkids to see trains when they were young. He always could find something new and interesting to see or do with his family. He had a phenomenal knowledge of history and enjoyed sharing it with anyone would listen.
