Robert B. Meagher, 78 Huntington, IN passed away at 1:15 PM Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home Fort Wayne, IN. Mr. Meagher was born September 24, 1929 in Clearfield, PA to Charles and Emma (Demi) Meagher. His parents preceded him in death.
He married Mary Lou Barger August 7, 1951 in State College, PA. His wife survives in Huntington, IN. Additional survivors include one son: Robert Douglas and wife Patty Meagher, Wabash, IN and one daughter: Debra Rae Garay and husband Dan, Leo, IN, four Grandchildren: Marilyn Knerr and husband Courtney, Columbia City, IN, Meagan Wagner, Leo, IN, Ashley Meagher, Wabash, IN, and Carman Garay, Leo, IN, and two Great grand-children: Payton Knerr and Tyler Knerr.
Mr. Meagher was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Meagher, Charles Meagher, and William Meagher, and three sisters, Dorothy Gnau, Louise Haynes, and Roseann Raybak. Mr. Meagher Worked for Proctor Gamble, Franks Foods, Durkee and McCormicks Foods. He was also a self-employed property investor. He served in the army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, IN, American Legion Post 85, VFW Post 2689 and Moose Lodge No. 837.
