Robert Andrew Speaks-Abney, 25, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI surrounded by his family after losing his battle with Sickle Cell Anemia. Robert was born in Woonsocket, RI on July 15, 1990, a son of Syreeta O. Abney (of Woonsocket) and Robert A. Speaks (of Providence).
Other than his parents, Robert leaves to cherish his memory his stepfather Christopher G. Bullard (of Manville), a fiancée Nicole Depot and their daughter Jezaniah Depot-Abney (of Woonsocket), grandmothers Minnie Abney (of Woonsocket) and Nancy Speaks (of Providence), 4 siblings, Shaqonia Abney (of Woonsocket), Quamee Andrade, Autumn Speaks and Vaugn Martin (all of Providence), as well as a host of aunts, uncles, godparents, cousins and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles L. Abney and Andrew J. Sawyers.
