Robert A. Turner, age 93 of Freeport, IL, passed away peacefully at his home on November 29, 2016. He was born July 11, 1923; the son of the late Arthur and Florence (Hall) Turner.
Bob was a WWII Army/Air Force Veteran and served his country form 1945 – 1946 in Japan. He worked most of his adult life at WT Rawleigh CO. and retired after 35 years of employment. Most of his free time was spent enjoying family and friends. His favorite sport was golf.
Bob is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Freeport; sister, Margaret Sass of Ridott; brother, Allen (Virginia) Turner of Lena; four step children, Kathy Mullarkey Bawks; Christine (Michael) Gardini of Freeport, James (Deena) Mullarkey of Freeport, and Jay Mullarkey of Freeport; several step grandchildren & great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Marjorie; brother, James; nephew, Larry Moore; great nephew, Leo Gerke; and step grandson, Jared Mullarkey.
