Robert A. Nesta, 78, of Hartford, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Born in New Britain, son of the late Salvatore and Lillian (Spaccaluti) Nesta, he was a longtime resident of Newington prior to living at Alberta Manor in Hartford. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Newington. Robert was a gentle and kind soul. He loved his music and enjoyed writing jokes. He loved sharing those jokes with others and making them laugh. He loved his family very much. Robert’s journey through this life was not easy but through it all he never complained or lost the special qualities that endeared him to others. He will be missed. He is survived by his sister Sandra N. Callahan-Gaetani and her husband Joseph of Newington, his niece Kathleen Shimwell, and two nephews, Thomas G. Callahan and his wife Joanne and Timothy J. Callahan and his wife Linda Dombrowski. He also leaves behind five great nieces and nephews.
