Robert A. Miller, 84, of Terre Haute passed into the Lords arms Friday, August 13, 2021 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital with his family by his side.  He was born July 23, 1937 in Terre Haute to Frank Miller (Molnar) and Margaret Miller.  Bob served his country in the U.S. Marines in Okinawa, Japan. Following an honorary discharge he worked for the C & EI Railroad. He then worked as an over the road trucker for 40 years. This took him on many adventures throughout the country.  Bob loved to fish and enjoyed the outdoors.  He spent many days enjoying trips to Kentucky with family.  He retired in 2014 after being diagnosed with renal cancer that he courageously battled like a champion for 7 years. During his battle, he encouraged and inspired many along the way.  Always showing up with a smile and a wise crack to ease the stress.  The family would like to graciously thank those who walked beside him and encouraged him. He loved his doctors and staff.  A special thanks to Dr. Mendoza and Dr. Chakrabarti and his wonderful staff at the Hope Center including Amy, Michelle, Jan, Holly, and Dr. Shah.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cindy Miller, daughter Andrea Hancock, son Robert “Joey” Miller (Katie), grandchildren Amanda (Mark), Camaren, Jeffrey (Taylor), Jacquie, and one  to arrive in September.
