Robert A. Flecksteiner, 75, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, February 19, 2009 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Barbara (Flexer) Flecksteiner with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage this past June 30th. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late William and Julia (Enright) Flecksteiner, Sr. Bob served in the Army during the Korean War. He was the caretaker for Holy Ghost Cemetery for 31 years until becoming ill. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a fork lift operator for Perkasie Industries and also for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a member of University Parish of Holy Ghost, where he served as an Usher and also Sacristan at 10am Mass for 20 years. He was also a member of St. Bernard’s. Bob was devoted to his family and church and lived life to serve everyone. Survivors: he will be lovingly remembered by his wife; son Robert A. Flecksteiner, Jr. and his wife Tanya and their children, Tavia and Nathan and daughter Lori A. Laws and her husband Michael all of Bethlehem; sisters Mary Hunsberger of Perkasie and Helen Stoneback of Bethlehem; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers John, William, Jr., Joseph and James.
