Rita Vece Quagliani, 85, of West Haven passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in the care of The Regency House of Wallingford. Rita was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Her death leaves a void in the lives of all her family and friends. She was a lifelong resident of West Haven and a devoted member of Our Lady of Victory Parish. Loving Mother of Raymond F. Quagliani Jr. (Doris) of West Haven, Robert P. Quagliani of Pittsfield, Mass., Christine R. Russo of Meriden and former West Haven Police Chief Ronald M. Quagliani (Tracey) of West Haven. Loving Grandmother of Raymond F. Quagliani III (Vicki) of Manchester, N.H., Justin R. Quagliani of Stamford, Christopher M. Quagliani of West Haven, Ericka D. Quagliani of Sante Fe, N.M., Nicholas C. Quagliani of West Haven and Mario R. Quagliani of West Haven, Christina A. DiGiacomo of Plainville, Gina M. DiGiacomo of Meriden, Nicholas A. DiGiacomo of Meriden and Nicholas L. Quagliani of Ansonia, Olivia A. Quagliani of West Haven and Ronald M. Quagliani Jr. of West Haven. She also leaves five great grandchildren,Trevor, Mitchell, Gavin and Brody of Manchester, N.H. and Angelina Shaw of Sante Fe, N.M. “Grammy Q” will always be remembered and loved. She is survived by her brother Raymond Vece (Angie) of West Haven. She was predeceased by her parents Raymond Albert and Rose Lavorgna Vece, her brothers Daniel and James Vece, her sisters Emily Therese, Marie “Dolly” Kearney and Delores Hunt and her former husband Raymond F. Quagliani Sr. Rita’s family would like to thank the staff of the Regency House of Wallingford for their exceptional care and her friendship with Wayne Nash and Agnes Terito.
