Born Rita Lucia Savarese on October 27, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY, she passed away at Willows Health Care in Woodbridge on Monday, January 23, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Melchior F. R. Savarese and Josephine (Monaco) Savarese. She was the widow of Bernard A. Moule and is survived by three sons, Bernard A. Moule and his wife Susan (Keane) of Wickford, RI, James F. Moule and his wife Jeanne (Lucibello) of Orange and Joseph E. Moule of Orange; a sister Rosina Varsh and a brother Pasquale Savarese both of Orange; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Rita was a charter member of the Holy Infant Women’s guild and was a past president of the Guild. She also served as a director of the Holy Infant Religious Summer School program and a member of the parish council. She served as President of the Orange Parent Teacher’s Association, and was a founding member of the Orange Scholarship Fund, where she served fifteen years as president and an additional fifteen years on the awards committee.
