Rita N. Steele, age 77, of Buford, GA passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Fred and Ester Cowsert; brother, Donald G. Cowsert; son, Jeffrey D. Hemple; first husband, David E. Hemple; and second husband, Richard L. Steele.
Mrs. Steele is survived by her daughter, Judy Hemple and Charlie Southerland, Buford, GA; granddaughter, Lexie Brown; stepdaughter, Carolyn Steele; step-granddaughter, Maria Steele; and niece, Sue and Ken Abbey.
Mrs. Steele was born on August 15, 1943, in Flint, MI.
She was a graduate of Clio High School in Clio, MI. She was a retired claims processor from United Healthcare Insurance Company. Mrs. Steele was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Buford and the Red Hat Society.
