Rita Marie Vazquez, 78, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill. She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church. She was the wife of the late Mariano Vazquez. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Mary (Messics) Pina. Rita worked as a presser for the former Debbie Sue Fashions. She also worked as an assistant to Linny Fowler for over 25 years. She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, and the I.L.G.W.U. Survivors: sons Mario Vazquez and wife Monica of Largo, Fla, David Vazquez and wife Lisa, Michael Vazquez and wife Bridget all of Fountain Hill; daughters Susan D’Angelo and husband Mario, Michelle Benner and husband Paul all of Bethlehem; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Consuela Almadovar of Fountain Hill, Marie Silfies and husband Dennis of Bath; brothers Robert Pina of Salisbury Twp, Raul Suarez of Mission British Columbia, Canada. She was predeceased by her siblings Richard Pina of Wading River, NY, Dolores Filasetta of Bethlehem, and Hector Suarez of Bethlehem.
