Rinaldo Agata, 90, of New Haven, husband of the late Teresa Cacchillo Agata, passed away at Apple Rehabilitation Center in West Haven on Saturday, December 17, 2011. He was born in Bovino, Foggia Italy on December 22, 1920, son of the late Domenico and Maria Giuseppa Lezza Agata. Beloved father of Mary Josephine (Mark) DeAngelis and Domenic (Anne) Agata, all of New Haven. He leaves behind three grandchildren, Kristin (Scott) Peloso, Jenna and Nicholas Agata and his sister Valleverdina Agata of Italy. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Giovanni, Carmelina, Filomena, and Gennaro Agata and Ester Mauriello. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews in CT, Italy and Canada. Rinaldo was educated through secondary school in Italy and began barbering at age 11, eventually owning a barber shop there. He proudly served in the Italian army for four years during World War II. Rinaldo continued barbering as a loyal union member in the USA in various communities and became the owner of Ronny’s Barber Shop in New Haven until his retirement in 1984. He loved to read, play and watch soccer, watch the TV Mass daily, listen to classical music and spend time with his family. He was a current parishioner of St.
