Mr. Riley “Buck” Alex Peak, born on May 18, 1954 in Hailey, Idaho, to the late Deon Leeper Peak and the late Rodney C. Peak, passed away at age 64 on June 2, 2018 at his home in Middleton, Idaho.

He demonstrated great love and we admire him for it. He is and always will be the home for our hearts. He is etched in our every memory and we are so fortunate to have loved and been loved by him. He had a great and tender heart, and was capable of love that would bear all wrongs, endure all tempests.

Buck graduated from Wood River High school in 1972. He moved to the Treasure Valley in 1984 and worked for Circle H Construction. He started his career with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game in 1992 as a Utility Craftsman where he worked in that capacity until 1996. He then was the owner/ operator of Cherokee Construction until returning to IDFG in 1998 as Construction Foreman and eventually became Construction Supervisor, where he retired in 2017.

Riley was the beloved husband of Kayleen Cook Peak. He is survived by his son, Joshua John Peak; daughter, Michelle Whitby Pearson; sisters, Gladys (Tike) Barker, Carol Porter, Rodette Schreiber and Dana Peak; and grandchildren, Maggie Kay Pearson  and Garrett Riley Pearson.

Special thanks to Dr. Stanley Waters, Dr. Michael Kaylor and the staff at St. Lukes Infusion Center and St. Lukes Hospice.

When I go from this place there’s no reason to cry my friends. I have waited my whole life for such a beauty to take my breath away. When I go let it be a celebration, for I have been here, I have lived, I have won at this game called life.
