SALEM – Together Again – Richard M. Wyand, 73, died at 1:32 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at the St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. He was born Dec. 25, 1939, in Wellsville, the son of the late Allen and Hilda (Kiddey) Wyand. Richard graduated from Wellsville High School in 1957. Richard served in the United States Army for two years. He worked for Crane Deming Pump in the shipping department for 39 years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed playing softball, and was an avid fan of all sports. He really enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball, He also liked going to casinos. His wife of 41 years, Kaye (Little) Wyand, whom he married on April 27, 1963, preceded him in death on Nov. 17, 2004. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Keith, Bob and Philip; and two sisters, JoAnn and Sharon. Survivors include two daughters, Susan (companion Glenn Wolford) Wyand of Canfield and Sondra (Steve) Thomas of Salem; one son, Richard (Jillian) Wyand Jr. of Alliance; two sisters, Trudy D’Andrea of Warren and Kathy of California; and five brothers, Gary and Mark of Cleveland, Ronny of South Carolina, Larry of Arizona and Danny of Wooster. His mother-in-law, Mary Gardner of Salem, also survives, along with five grandchildren.
