WINCHESTER, CTPOZZO – Richard W. Pozzo, 90, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at The Vitas Unit of St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. He was born October 14, 1926 in Canton, MA. He was a WWII Veteran of the United States Navy from 1943-1946. Richard graduated from Boston College of Business Administration and studied Electrical Engineering at Northeastern University. He is survived by his wife, Arline M. (Gransky) Pozzo; four children, Richard, Sandra, Nancy and William; two sisters, Laura and Nancy; and a brother, William. He was predeceased by his first wife, Annie and son, Michael. He is also survived by his extended family, step children, Kevin and Kim Barbieri of Thomaston, Carl and Rosanne Barbieri of Wallingford and Grace K. Barbieri; step grandchildren, Cameron, Kyle, Amanda and Samantha Barbieri; daughter-in-law, Lorna Nedorosteck and husband Mark and Brutus, his faithful companion. The family would like to thank all the Vitas staff for their wonderful care and compassion during a difficult time.
