Richard W. Blancato, 70, of Berlin, passed away on January 15, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Kaseta) Blancato for 45 years. He was born in New Britain to the late Benjamin, Sr. and Mary (Mycka) Blancato. Richard had a passion for cars and was an extremely social person which made him perfect for the job at Papa’s Dodge as a car salesman. He also worked in the family owned business Diamond Upholstery Company. Richard loved spending time in the winter months in Hollywood Beach, FL. Besides his wife, he leaves his son Richard W. Blancato Jr., of New Britain, his daughter, Kathleen Ouellette, and her husband Kevin of Berlin, two grandchildren, Kasey and Kaleigh Ouellette. Richard also leaves many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend Jerry Ciccio of Plantsville, who was extremely devoted to helping Richard through is battle with cancer. Richard was predeceased by his brother, Benjamin Blancato.
