Richard is survived by his wife, Charlene, and son, Jonathan Ehlers both of Brighton; brother, Ronald Ehlers of Palm Springs, CA; sister, Kay (Ken) McClain of Seattle, WA. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
