Richard “Steve” Baker Sr. 77, of the Silver Ridge Park West section of Berkeley Township died on Friday April 27, 2018 after fighting a Courageous battle with Cancer. He was born in Norwich, Ct. he lived there and in Atlanta before moving to Toms River 43 years ago, residing in Silver Ridge Park West for the last 17 years. He was a US Army Veteran and worked as an Insurance Broker working with Allstate Insurance in Jackson, NJ for over 30 years. Steve was an accomplished Singer playing with the Chorus and the Wrinkle Review at Silver Ridge Park West where he also served as Vice President and enjoyed playing poker.
He was an avid Giant fan and a member of the American Legion in Toms River. Surviving is his beloved wife of 55 years Linda nee Herner. A son Rich Jr. and his wife Judy of Toms River. Brother Ray and his wife Larisa of Toms River. 3 grandchildren Christopher and his wife Kim, Allison and Melissa. Many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, including his dear niece Debra and nephew Ed.
