Richard S. Blake, 73, died unexpectedly on June 20, 2020 at VA Hospital in Gainesville and rose to new life with his Lord and Savior. He leaves behind his wife of twenty eight years, Lyhn Blake; his children, Jonathon Blake and Leah Blake-Williams; his siblings, Larry Blake and Sharon Hoffman; his grandchildren, Elena, Jacqueline and Lindsey. He is preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Blake and his sister, Connie Noble.

On April 17, 1947 Richard Blake entered this world in Baltimore, MD and he was the son the late Joseph D. and Gertrude (Frampton) Blake. Richard served our country with the United States Army. He exemplified gentleness, peacefulness and humility in many different ways following his Lord and Savior as a former Sunday school teacher,   as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Richard truly enjoyed playing guitar in praise and worship, reading the word of God and even went to Delmarva Christian Academy in Salisbury, MD.  If you didn’t know about Jesus, after you met Richard, you would know Jesus. About three years ago Richard and his wife Lhyn moved to Citrus Springs from Weeki Wachee. They met in August of 1991 in Washington and from there they started their life together and lived in different areas before relocating to Florida. WE LOVE YOU AND WE WILL MISS YOU UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN IN THAT GLORIOUS CITY NOT MADE WITH HUMAN HANDS BUT ETERNAL IN THE HEAVENS.
