Richard W. Prince, 69, of Bloomington, passed away December 12, 2010 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born, February 20, 1941, in Monroe County, he was the son of Emery and Maude (Stephens) Prince.

Richard was a charter member and a Deacon at the Calvary Baptist Church. He and his wife Peggy did missionary work in Puerto Rico and helped with building a church in Post Falls, Idaho. He was a brick and stone mason retiring from Whaley Construction after more than 20 years employment. He was also a 54 year member of the International Union Bricklayers Local #4 the Bloomington Chapter.

Richard was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed photographing old courthouses, bridges and other older buildings. He also enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Peggy (Kinser) Prince, one son, Jesse (Laura) Prince all of Bloomington, two daughters, Beth (Jeff) Cooper of Spencer, Stephanie (Rick) Ayers of Springville, seven grandchildren, Seth Gardner, Rachel Prince, Charity Prince, Faith Prince, Sarah Prince, Derrick Ayres and Vanessa Cooper, two brothers, Winford “Buck” Prince of Springville and John Prince of Bloomington.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maxine Arthur.
