Richard M. Doss, 66, born December 22, 1951, was called to his heavenly home on December 1, 2018. He is survived by his beloved mother, Elouise Helton Doss; sister, Elaine Dalton; brother-in-law, Robert (Bob) Dalton, Sr.; niece and nephew, MacKenzie Dalton and Robert (Bobby) Dalton, Jr., as well as the love of his life, Pat Smith Lipham. Richard shared his many God-given talents in art and IT with many. He was one of Newnan’s local artists, having served as a former Secretary of the Newnan-Coweta Art Society. He restored stained glass light fixtures in The Fox Theater in Atlanta, displayed an angel done in pastels at the High Museum of Art and had a contemporary sculpture purchased and displayed at what is now Clayton State University. Richard’s passion for art included photography, jewelry making and mediums in pastels, acrylics, oils and pencil.
