Richard M. Johnson, 95, of Ottawa, died October 22, at Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa.

Mr. Johnson was born December 30, 1910 in Morris to Frank R. and Sarah (Olsen) Johnson. He married Eleanore Knudson on February 8, 1936 in Morris. She died December 19, 1989. They resided most of their lives in the Sandwich, Morris and Ottawa areas. Dick worked about five years at DuPont Plant in Morris before becoming co-owner and operator of the Morris Dairy for seven years, with his older brother, Karl. He was then called to serve as Administrator at Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa where he worked along with his wife for the next 18 years. Dick and Eleanore retired in 1975, but he continued to do part-time public relations work with Pleasant View until 1985. He served in the Illinois National Guard for three years. He was a former member of the Ottawa Rotary Club for approximately 20 years.

He is survived by three daughters, Kren Collier of League City, TX., Ann Louise (Richard) Ferguson of Minocqua, WI. and Lois Johnson of San Clemente, CA. his second wife, Jean; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Eleanore; one brother and one sister.
