Richard Lee Nolting, 93, Clyde, more recently Ohio Veteran’s Home, died on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at OVH.

“Dick” was born in Ashley, Ohio on July 4, 19221 to Roy and Lucille (Litsenberger) Nolting. He graduated from Ashley High School in 1939.

He served in the US Army during WWII.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Clyde VFW. He was a woodworker and could “fix” or make anything. His hobbies included traveling, bowling and golf. He especially liked the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Clyde Fliers and Perkins Pirates.

On June 30, 1946, he married Mary Hack. She preceded him in death on February 1, 2006.

Surviving is their daughter, Susan (James) Laremore, Clyde; three grandchildren, Erika Smith, Sandusky; Emily Blair, Bloomdale,Ohio and Jimmy Laremore, Zurich. Five great grandchildren, two brothers, Russell Nolting, Ashley; Alden Nolting, Atlanta; two sisters, JoAnn Moder, Milford Center and Joyce Waltz, Rocky River also survive.
