Richard L. Chasteen, age 64, of Shell Knob, MO died November 27, 2010. He was born September 15, 2010 in Fresno, California to Jessie Lee Chasteen and Vernis Reddell Chasteen. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era where he received a purple heart. Richard was self employed as a carpenter. He enjoyed riding horses and being around his friends and family. He is survived by 2 daughters, Twilla Tabor of Eureka Springs, Reba Nelson of Berryville, 2 sons, Dwane Chasteen of Cassville, MO and Rick Chasteen of Colorado, his mother, Vernis Hayden, one sister, Reba McVay of Bentonville, and 7 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Jessie Chasteen.
