Richard L. Canderan of Nampa passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 20, 2019 after a courageous battle with brain tumor at the age of 73.

Richard was born on January 13, 1946 to Naomi and Charles Canderan in Brownsville, Pennsylvania.  The family then moved to Hillside, Maryland where he graduated from Central High School in 1964.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1971.  He married Jo Ann B. Formento on May 30, 1970.  After they were married, they moved to Wichita, Kansas where he received a degree in electrical engineering from Wichita State University in 1974.  They then moved to Boise in 1974 where he started working for Idaho Power Company.  He retired in March of 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; his sister Gina; cousins Dr. Robert (Antoinette) Fagioletti and Dr. Ronald DiDomenico; Sister-in-laws Phyllis Bogard and Colleen (Larry) Moore; along with many cousins, nieces and nephew.  He was preceded in death by his parents and many uncles and aunts.
