Richard Joseph Brown, Jr was born on January 5, 1953 to the late Deacon Richard Joseph Brown, Sr and the late Evangelist Elizabeth Wells Brown in Savannah, Georgia. Brother Richard affectionately known as “JoJo”, gained his wings on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. He attended public schools in the Chatham County School System where he graduated from Beach High School in 1972. Upon graduating, he worked in the construction field. Later he was employed by the Melrose Club on Dafuskie Island until he became disabled.
