Richard J. White, 66, of Freemansburg, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. White, who passed away in 2012. Born in Fullerton, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Mildred E. (Dreisbach) White. Richard was a graduate of Whitehall High School. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Richard worked for General Electric for 18 years, and later for the Southern Lehigh School District as a custodian for 9 years. He was of the Catholic faith. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Survivors: Daughters, Kimberly Boonie and her husband Randy of Petersburg, Christine Moyer and her husband Randall of Allentown and Denise Grube of Bethlehem; sisters, Marie Miller, Linda Kugler, Barbara White and Sharon Savakis; brothers, Charles and John White; 6 grandchildren, Bradley and Nickolas Boonie, Trevor and Brandi Moyer and Rebecca and Madison Grube; 2 great-grandchildren, Brayden and Madelynn Boonie. Richard was preceded in death by a sister Judith McLaine and brothers Francis Andres and Edward White.
