Richard J. – Rick – Wozniak, age 51, of the far western suburbs, passed away Friday, October 12th at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born February 17, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois son of Roman and Patricia (Jagar) Wozniak.
Rick grew up on the south side of Chicago and graduated from St Rita High School in 1979. He then attended DePaul University where he graduated in 1984. Rick worked for many years for Jewel Food Stores and then for over a decade as a Salesman, Finance Manager and General Sales Manager for O’Hare Auto Group and later in banking as a Regional Area Manager for US Bank of Rockford. He was an avid sports fan, with a strong love of the Blackhawks and White Sox. Rick considered himself a “foodie” and enjoyed both cooking and traveling, particularly to the islands of Hawaii. Rick was a wonderful loving husband, son and son-in-law and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Deborah (Cielocha); parents, Roman and Patricia Wozniak, of Summit, Illinois; Deborah’s parents, Frank and Judy Cielocha; sisters- and brothers-in-law Sharon and Charles Draeger of Georgia, Lynn and Bob Holmberg of West Dundee and Cindy and Fred Muller of Carol Stream; his “beloved babies” dogs Bear and Tazer; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
