Richard J. “Rick” Boucher, 68, of Bristol, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Bristol Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband for 42 years to Karen (Andrash) Boucher.

Rick was born December 8, 1949 in Eagle Lake, Maine, son to the late Valier and Julie (Raymond) Boucher. He worked as a steel fabricator for many years at Berlin Steel and retired after many years in the industry, having worked for various companies. Rick was a true outdoorsman, enjoying all nature and the outdoors had to offer. Between hiking, boating, camping and to simply sitting outside bird watching or by the seashore, Rick found a profound love and appreciation for being outside. He also loved music, formerly being a drummer in a garage band, and always a good dance to go along with the tune.

In addition to his wife, Karen, Rick is survived by his son, Richard “Rich” Boucher Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Bristol, his daughter, Dawnmarie Boucher, of Plainville, and his daughter Michelle Pagani, of Newington; his grandchildren, Corinne Bard and her husband, Ryan, of Plainville, Wayne Clark, of Plainville, and Jessica, James, and Kristen Pagani, all of Newington; his sisters, Pauline Caron, Janice Sylvia, Doreen Yeske, and Cynthia Griffin; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his oldest sister, Margaret Boucher.

Rick’s family would like to thank the staff of Bristol Hospital, especially the staff in the ICU for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided in their time of need.
