HARRISON, Mr. Richard H., Jr., Kalamazoo, MI died Saturday morning March 22, 2014. Richard was born July 28, 1927 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Richard and Jennie Humphries Harrison, Sr. During the Korean War, he served in Japan with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1958 and was employed with Bronson Hospital for over 30 years, retiring in 1990.
Richard was also a member of Westwood United Methodist Church; Southwest Michigan Pharmacy Association; American Society of Hospital Pharmacist; and the United Methodist Men’s Group. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Foster Munson and Thomas Harrison; and 2 sisters, Geri Light and Donna Dunton.
On November 9, 1952, he was united in marriage to Phyllis J. Snyder Harrison who survives. Also surviving, a daughter, Renae Brett Simmons of Kalamazoo; a grandson, Jason Casey Lane Mischen both of Kalamazoo; a great-granddaughter, Camille Mischen; a sister, Geneva Mills of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
